I want Air Raid Robertson to have a deep, interesting, and diverse assortment of villains. Every popular adventure hero in comicdom has a memorable rogues gallery, so I consider it essential to build one for my character. However, I'm quite sure that this will be one of the more difficult aspects of constructing this series. When you get down to it, very few comic book heroes have a truly excellent roster of bad guys.

I decided that I'd do at least ten stories without reusing any antagonists. Since this is the thirteenth Air Raid Robertson story, its appropriate for me to reintroduce a villain.The Burple Bopper, our rogue in question, first assailed Robertson in "Straight, No Chaser" ryanvalentinecomics.deviantart…

That story got a mediocre reception. Hell, even my girlfriend went out of her way to inform me that it wasn't one of my best. That may be part of the reason why I have a bit of a soft spot for it. Either way, I have a feeling that The Burple Bopper can work as a recurring enemy for Air Raid Robertson.

I wasn't planning to use that character again, but I found that a sphinx fits into this story very nicely.
